Soft and sinuous lines, stylish décor with a retrò twist, innovative use of materials: these are the main features of the Crinoline chair by Patricia Urquiola. The shape of the base is inspired by crinolines, a fashion garment used as a support of underneath haute couture skirts in women’s clothing in the nineteenth century. The designer reproduced the same manufacture of this fashion item, made of natural fibres of grey tint abaca rope. Around the seat the woven in lighter, just like abaca’s natural tone. The seat cushion has a polyurethane padding upholstered in black Elect fabric.
