Wallpaper Design Awards 2021

Wallpaper magazine has drawn up the winners of its “Wallpaper Design Awards” competition where ideas and creations from all over the world compete in the different categories to appear in the trend rankings. Among old confirmations and unexpected news, here is the list concerning the world of design that we have selected for you, giving priority to the brands we are dealers. All these products will be or are already available in our showroom network, ready to be seen or purchased.

Best Woodcraft

In the wake of a design increasingly green and attentive to the environmental impact of man, four high-end brands stand out for the choice of offering wooden furniture with a low ecological impact. We are talking about Poltrona Frau and her Kyoto table, Carl Hansen & Son with the BM0865 daybed, Cassina and her Fenc-e Nature armchair and Flexform with the Ansel sofa.

Best Sculpted Furniture

In this section dedicated to the intertwining of art and design we find the Verre Particulier table by Baxter Made in Italy. Designed by Studiopepe, this elegant piece of furniture summarizes solidity and lightness in a whole, combining the materiality of marble with a very thin glass top.

Best Dining Experience

For the award dedicated to the dining area we find a triptych of extreme aesthetic taste formed by the NVL table by MDF Italia, the Rope chair by Artek and the Infra-Structure Episode 2 light system by Flos. Combined with Tom Dixon’s spectacular cocktail glasses, these elements give life to a unique, elegant and evocative space that impresses with its sharp color contrast and essential shapes.

Best Curves

In the name of roundness, synonymous of hospitality and comfort not only physical but also visual, the “curve” award goes to Bonfire lamps by Gallotti&Radice and Hashira by Menu. Among the upholstered items, the Le Club armchairs by Poliform and the Mattia sofa by Minotti stand out. No less striking are the Louisa tables by Molteni&C and the Admeto table by Visionnaire. In a complete assortment of finishes and colors, these elements summarize a sober and elegant way of furnishing, made up of sweet lines enriched by sharp contrasts.

Best Bedtime

For the sleeping area, Wallpaper offers an assortment of technologies, comforts and lights, a well thought-out summary of a new, more articulated and dynamic way of living the bedroom. Here we find the Gaudi bed by Flou and the Islands Low coffee tables by Living Divani.

Best Outdoor Entertaining

For garden furniture Giorgetti presents the Clop rocking chair, which can also be used as a small armchair. B&B Italia offers a new idea of relaxation with the Ayana chair whose backrest recalls a Swedish painting. The Kettal Half Dome lamp closes this ranking, whose minimal design offers a new inspiration of extreme elegance.

Best Work From Home Ideas

In this period where the home office has become an everyday reality for many, Wallpaper offers a ranking of furniture for study and office, starting with the Gullwing table by Lema and continuing with the fine Romby swivel chair by Porro. A sophisticated and essential design characterizes both of these works of exceptional aesthetic beauty.

Best Furniture Reissues

Cassina, FontanaArte and B&B Italia win here the award for the best “returns”, works of the past which they have been able to give new luster by re-proposing them in the actuality of a furniture that is never afraid of rediscovering itself. In this case we are talking about the Re and Regina lamps, the Balla screen and the Gli Scacchi chairs.
