Created in 1928 by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeannaret and Charlotte Perriand, the 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort Grand Modèle Sofa is part of the wide collection composed by well-known sofas, armchairs and chaise longues. It is available as a two or three seaters sofa and it distinguishes from the model 2 Fauteuil Grand Confort Petit Modèle for the more plain and compact design of the seat whose cushions can be covered in fabric or leather. The elegance of Sofa 3 Fauteuil Grand Confort Grand Modèle lies not only in the choice of excluding a part of the base to make it more essential, but also in the reinvention of the whole structure which becomes lower, giving a further stylish touch to the original design. The outer shell composed by tubes in varnished or chromed steel is kept unchanged, as specific feature of the whole collection.
