{"id":20636,"date":"2019-02-01T11:29:34","date_gmt":"2019-02-01T11:29:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.salvioniarredamenti.it\/editorial\/imm-cologne-2019-knoll-bauhaus\/"},"modified":"2019-11-12T14:52:30","modified_gmt":"2019-11-12T14:52:30","slug":"imm-cologne-2019-knoll-bauhaus","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.salvioniarredamenti.it\/en\/imm-cologne-2019-knoll-bauhaus\/","title":{"rendered":"Imm Cologne 2019 &#8211; Knoll celebrates the Bauhaus trend"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Every year the <strong>Imm Cologne fair<\/strong> is a regular appointment with the world of design; an opportunity where old and new trends meet, inspiring the taste of the whole world.<\/p>\n<p>This 2019 saw, among the many novelties presented, the entry of the <strong>Knoll brand<\/strong> that, for the occasion, presented an exhibition designed by<strong> OMA<\/strong> and totally dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Bauhaus current.<\/p>\n<p>Outcome\u00a0of the impeccable artistic direction of the OMA architecture firm, founded by the architects Rem Koolhaas, Elia Zenghelis, Madelon Vriesendorp and Zoe Zenghelis, the installation presented some designs of\u00a0<strong>Piero Lissoni<\/strong>\u00a0with the reworking of the\u00a0furniture pieces of <strong>Ludwig Mies van de Rohe<\/strong>, a master of twentieth century architecture.<\/p>\n<p>Divided into four spaces, each area has been set up to reflect the style and taste of some of Mies&#8217; most famous architectural works: the house in Krefld (1927); the Weissenhorf quarter in Stuttgart (1927); the Barcelona Expo pavilion (1929); the Tugendhat house (1930). Moving from one space to another, visitors were given the opportunity to introduce themselves in a sequence of striking combinations of architecture and furniture design, the result of Piero Lissoni&#8217;s genius and Mies van der Rohe&#8217;s <strong>MR and Barcelona collections<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>To honor the historic relationship between Knoll and the Bauhaustrend, the brand has created a special &#8220;Bauhaus Edition&#8221; from the MR collection and the Barcelona chair by Mies van de Rohe.
