Salvioni Milano Durini | The new MDF Italia window
Salvioni Milano Durini unveils a new window created in collaboration with MDF Italia.
The new installation aims to celebrate some of the brand’s latest offerings as well as many of its iconic catalog pieces that have, over the years, helped establish its international reputation.
The space is divided into three distinct areas: the first faces Via Durini, the second is set further inside, and the third is more secluded, bordering the showroom’s offices and separated by a practical black room divider.
The color palette chosen for this project ranges from white to sand tones, without neglecting a few bold accents in red, green, and black. The wood flooring is echoed in several furniture elements, creating a sensory harmony where materials, finishes, and design choices come together in a rich, multi-voiced dialogue.
In the first space, the visitor is welcomed by the sophisticated and elegant white Cosy Island sofa, combined with the grey Rock Table Mini. Not far away, the Peggy armchair with pouf and Random bookcase in green are placed. The choice of neutral colours for the upholstered furniture and brighter shades for the accessories is intentional and designed to differentiate each individual element, creating autonomous focuses.
No less interesting is the dining space which, also in the window, was created by combining the Random Wood bookcase, the Tense Material Heritage table, Neil Leather chairs and Edo chairs. This composition combines the dark tones of the bookcase and table with the much more garish ones of the chairs and highlights everything thanks to the rice paper pendant lamp whose soft light softens the contrasts, creating a shared harmony.
The cornerstone of the new 2025 collection, the Goom sofa welcomes the visitor into the internal lounge space, accompanied by a trio of Cantle low tables and a Cantle armchair. The interweaving of surfaces is ideal for highlighting the compositional harmony, as well as the structural power of each complement which here too creates a completely new narrative, made of neutral tones and stylistic choices that favor splashes of color and large sand-colored surfaces. It is necessary to mention the Minima 3.0 system, a closing point for the wall and at the same time an indispensable support for the gaze.
The composition closes with the third exhibition space dominated by a green NVL Table and Flow armchairs in leather color. Divide IT was used as a dividing complement that acts as a curtain between the installation and the offices behind it, guaranteeing the whole separate spheres of influence.
The installation by Salvioni Milano Durini highlights the expressive power of MDF Italia combined with the imaginative capacity of Salvioni Design Solutions. The shop window on Via Durini is transformed, taking on the characteristics of a neutral yet peculiar scenario, a challenge taken up and won in relation to contemporary furniture.
