Morelato

Salvioni is Morelato official dealer

Morelato was founded in the 1930s by Aldo Morelato and quickly specialized in fine woodworking, creating unique pieces of furniture designed to stand the test of time. Exceptional quality and meticulous attention to detail soon brought success to this small workshop, which evolved in the 1960s into a true cabinetmaking company. The first Morelato collections drew inspiration from the great masterpieces of the past, absorbing their taste, style, and above all, their underlying philosophy — later reinterpreted in a modern key to create genuine “Contemporary Classics.” The development of its distinctive stylistic identity was a gradual yet steady process, supported by the influence of notable figures such as Giò Ponti, Guglielmo Ulrich, and many other 20th-century masters. Today, the Morelato style is defined by its essential, elegant, classic, and unmistakably personal character.

Morelato collections

A distinctive feature of Morelato is its ability to customize the design of its pieces, creating for each one a formula suited to the environment and context in which it will be placed. Whether for residential or contract settings, the company’s solutions are always the result of meticulous research on materials, shapes, and above all, on the expressive potential of each object. Among the many items offered by the brand are modular bookcases, sideboards, and storage units for various areas of the home, products for the home office, as well as chairs and stools paired with tables for dining and living spaces. The collection also includes a wide range of coffee tables and accessories, complemented by sofas and armchairs for lounges and relaxation areas. The assortment is completed by beds, dressers, and nightstands, along with a variety of wardrobes crafted in full respect of the finest woodworking techniques.

Morelato design

Since the 1930s, Morelato has carried out numerous collaborations with talented designers whose contributions have resulted in successful products. Among the many names are Mario Botta, Libero Rutilo, Giuseppe Viganò, Ugo La Pietra, and Piero Lissoni—each renowned in different fields of design production, yet united here by their shared passion for fine woodcraft. In 2003, the Aldo Morelato Foundation was established—a project that intertwines art with a deep love for furniture making. Located in the historic Villa Dionisi in Veneto, the Foundation has created a permanent exhibition, a true company museum that houses works, prototypes, and numerous Morelato pieces born from continuous research into materials and forms.

Morelato dealer

Salvioni Design Solutions has chosen to begin a collaboration with Morelato because it recognizes the aesthetic and artisanal value of the company’s products. The tradition of fine cabinetmaking carried forward by Morelato is truly unique and increasingly rare—a genuine expression of craftsmanship and know-how at risk of being lost under the weight of modernity. For this reason, Salvioni has decided to promote and distribute Morelato’s creations, highlighting the depth of research behind them and the added value they embody. Moreover, the brand’s distinctive aesthetic vision makes it one of a kind, blending Scandinavian influences with a uniquely appealing Made in Italy sensibility.
