Jehs + Laub is a German design studio founded in 1994 by Markus Jehs (1965-) and Jürgen Laub (1964-), both students of the prestigious Ulm School, whose dictates have significantly marked their design practice directing them towards a functionalism sober and dry with an unmistakably Teutonic matrix. Theirs is a bare trait that gives life to versatile and essential furnishings that renounce any fashionable temptation to put efficiency first, at the cost of appearing even a little anonymous. Many of their creations revolve around the world of office furniture, with creations published by international giants such as Brunner, Herman Miller or Wilkhan and in which great attention is paid to the technical aspects. Their most fruitful collaboration is probably the one with the German brand COR, for which they design numerous furnishings for both the home and common spaces. In the products designed for brands more focused on home furnishings, such as Nemo, Schönbuch and Knoll, they are instead able to let their imagination run wild to give life to intelligent and creative products, with a more personal cut.
