Moschino by Jeremy Scott

Moschino by Jeremy Scott
Jeremy Scott (1975–) is an American fashion designer who served as creative director of the Italian brand Moschino from 2013 to 2023. Irreverent and provocative, he built his aesthetic around camp sensibilities and an unabashed love of pop references. His first show for Moschino—presenting the Fall/Winter 2014 collection—was emblematic: the brand’s “M” was redesigned and colored yellow to evoke the McDonald’s logo, creating an ironic parallel between prêt-à-porter fashion and fast food culture. Other recurring sources of inspiration include cartoons and toys. Under his leadership, one of Moschino’s symbols became the iconic teddy bear wearing a T-shirt with the slogan “This is not a Moschino toy,” developed in various forms, including a perfume bottle and a table lamp (the latter created through a special collaboration between Moschino and Kartell). Jeremy Scott also owns his eponymous label, launched in Paris in 1997, which quickly gained strong recognition and soon entered the roster of brands carried by the iconic concept store Colette. From 2008 onward, he has also led numerous highly successful collaborations with Adidas, designing sneakers and apparel collections for the brand.
