Tommy Hyldahl

Tommy Hyldahl is a Danish entrepreneur and designer, founder and leader of the brands NORR11 and 101 Copenhagen. He has worked for decades in the fashion world with the task of anticipating and intercepting new trends in materials and colors, with a “first mover” approach that has also accompanied him in his new adventures in the design sector. With the foundation of NORR11 in 2011 he was in fact ahead of his time, anticipating many of the trends that would later characterize Scandinavian design in the following years: he combined the traditional predilection for natural materials with a fresher and more captivating approach, with furnishings with bold and sculptural shapes capable of achieving great success also on social networks. Tommy Hyldahl personally takes care of most of the creations of NORR11 and 101 Copenhagen (a brand more focused on objects and accessories, founded in 2017), often co-signing them with the head of design of both brands, the young Kristian Sofus Hansen. He is a great enthusiast of oriental culture and design and of the Japanese philosophy of wabi-sabi, based on the acceptance of the imperfection and transience of things and placed by Hyldahl at the centre of his design method.
