The Trench collection by Acerbis includes a range of furniture pieces — from chairs to sofas — that reinterpret the concept of upholstery through new proportions and unexpected forms. Philippe Malouin has created for Acerbis a fresh vision of comfort and relaxation, expressed as a true tribute to the essential and the primal, where form and thought merge to give life to a set of unique elements. The Trench armchair, in particular, stands out for its comfort, enhanced by the curved, upholstered seat designed to convey a sense of lightness and suspension. The armrests, perfectly integrated into the design, are available either in a fixed version or as independent, movable elements, allowing for a fully personalized comfort experience.

Acerbis International is a company for real connoisseurs: its furniture is able to distinguish itself by the use of the finest technology put entirely at the service of details, such as the exclusive patented locking systems that guarantee maximum functionality. The integration of the television directly into the living room panels, also able to interact with smartphones and multimedia players, allows the creation of modern and avant-garde living rooms. This style maintains a direct contact with the great tradition of Italian design thanks to the presence in the Acerbis catalog of timeless classics such as the Sheraton sideboard by Giotto Stoppino.Read more
Designed by
Philippe Malouin
Philippe Malouin (1982-), British designer of Canadian origins, is one of the most interesting figures on the contemporary design scene, so much so that he was nominated Designer of the Year in 2018 by the prestigious Wallpaper magazine. After graduating from the Design Academy in Eindhoven, he worked for a few years in Tom Dixon's studio, then starting his own business in 2008. His style is based on an extreme emphasis and stylization of forms, taken to excess as in his famous Mollo armchair for Established & Sons or reduced to the bone as in the equally famous Arca chandelier that he created for Matter Made. In Malouin's creations the basic simplicity of the lines transcends to give life to something unexpected and always surprising, a style that can be clearly seen in the highly successful products he has designed for brands such as SCP, De Sede, Resident, Iittala, cc-Tapis, Please Wait to Be Seated and more.Read more
