Ameluna is born from the union of Artemide and Mercedes-Benz, a suspension lamp that seems to defy conventions to create an effective and extremely beautiful design. A totally transparent shape is combined with dynamic light creating unique suggestions also based on the use of optoelectronics integrated into the body. The optics combined with an aluminum strip that supports the LEDs, fits into the lower profile, leaving the purity of the shape intact. The resulting light is indirect and reflected in infinite chromatic modes. Ameluna is also equipped with IOT (Internet of Things) intelligence to create new and unexpected emotions.

Mercedes-Benz Style is the office responsible for the design of the renowned luxury car group Mercedes-Benz, and since 2010 it has also been active in special design projects outside the automotive sector. Long led by the German car designer Friedrich Geiger (1907–1996), Mercedes-Benz’s design center has created cars that are now considered true masterpieces of design, such as the 300 SL “Gullwing,” the group’s first road-going sports car, famous for its distinctive vertically opening doors reminiscent of a seagull’s wings. In all of its special collaborations, Mercedes-Benz Style seeks to bring into different fields the avant-garde design and dynamic lines that define the brand’s aesthetic. Mercedes-Benz Style has designed yachts, helicopters, eyewear, and even a pendant lamp: the fascinating Ameluna, produced by the Italian brand Artemide, capable—through IoT technology—of recreating the lighting atmosphere of the interior of the new Mercedes E-Class.Read more
