Artemide
Artemide is one of the most prestigious names of the Italian design: the company has in fact left an indelible impact on the lighting sector. Artemide lamps are often courageous and experimental, but also incredibly practical. The philosophy of Artemide follows the principle of the "Human Light", according to which every lighting project must focus on the human being and his needs. Another peculiarity of the brand is the incessant tendency to innovation, so much that over 60 people are employed in its own Research & Development center.Read more

Neil Poulton
Neil Poulton (1963–) is a Scottish designer active mainly in the lighting sector. French by adoption, he has lived and worked in Paris since 1991, after studying at Napier University in Edinburgh and at Domus Academy in Milan. Following a brief stint at Philippe Starck’s studio, he has worked independently since 1992, and counts among his most important clients the hard-drive brand LaCie, for which he designed several external drive models. His best-known and most fruitful collaboration, however, is with Artemide—one of Italy’s leading lighting brands—with which he has developed numerous highly technological product lines, characterized by cool, clinical light and simple yet unusual forms that seem to come straight from the set of a science-fiction film. Internationally acclaimed (he has received, among other awards, multiple Red Dot Design Awards and iF Design Awards), Poulton has also worked with other Italian lighting companies, including Danese Milano, Martinelli Luce, and Castaldi.Read more
