Fluid Joinery by Cassina is a coffee table with a refined, sculptural feel. It stems from the stylistic research of designer Philippe Malouin, who explores the theme of interlocking pieces as an aesthetic and functional language. The defining element is the union of the different solid wood tops, which, thanks to fluid and sinuous joints, appear to merge seamlessly. The precision of the craftsmanship and the use of advanced technologies create a unique visual effect, where structure and decoration coincide. Fluid Joinery is available in various woods designed to fit seamlessly into both contemporary and more classic settings.

Founded in 1927 by the brothers Cesare and Umberto in the heart of Brianza furniture, Cassina is one of the long-lived Made in Italy industrial design companies. From the early ‘30s, Cassina brothers identified the strong demand for home furnishings and interpreted in a far-sighted way the renewed taste of the new emerging classes. From this intuition, Cassina started a real revolution in the indoor furnishings design. Since then, the company has been pursuing a path of research and innovation, involving prestigious designers and architects in the study of new furnishings models. In the last few years the collaboration with Gio Ponti has begun. Thanks to this partnership were born the 646 chair, known as Leggera, and the subsequent model 699 or Superleggera.Read more

Linde Freya Tangelder
Linde Freya Tangelder (1987-), Dutch designer and founder of the Antwerp studio Destroyers/Builders, has emerged in recent years as one of the most interesting emerging young names on the international design scene and was named “Young Designer of the Year” at the 2023 Elle Decor International Design Awards. The work of Destroyers/Builders consists of a series of limited-edition furnishings intended for the niche “collectibles” market, creations with a strong sculptural impact that take up the typical plastic values of architecture on a small scale, pronouncedly material and also very attentive to tactile suggestions. An elitist design style that has not been abandoned even in her first creations intended for mass production, the result of a collaboration with a brand like Cassina, which is historically known for the wide expressive freedom left to young design talents. Linde Freya Tangelder has also worked with the Belgian brand Valerie Objects and was a founding member of the design collective BRUT in 2017.Read more
