Cassina
Post Scriptum Vase
Cachepot
Price € 1,293.00
Post Scriptum is a vase with multiple shapes, capable of combining elegance, beauty and a strong creative sense that flows into the world of art and above all, design. The Formafantasma designs become real decorations on porcelain thanks to the skill of Cassina and the experience of the master painters Ginori1735. The collection includes several vases in different shapes, each designed to give greater prominence to the design and create a dialogue of intent with it. The particularity of the workmanship consists in the “graffito” decoration on the bisquit porcelain obtained with direct firing: the graffiti is drawn on the porcelain with a black pigment and then fixed, for a unique and extremely personal result. The Cachepot vase stands out from the other vases in the Post Scriptum collection for its shape similar to a large chalice adorned with a series of continuous lines that enrich its visual presence. In another version the line becomes checkerboard.

Founded in 1927 by the brothers Cesare and Umberto in the heart of Brianza furniture, Cassina is one of the long-lived Made in Italy industrial design companies. From the early ‘30s, Cassina brothers identified the strong demand for home furnishings and interpreted in a far-sighted way the renewed taste of the new emerging classes. From this intuition, Cassina started a real revolution in the indoor furnishings design. Since then, the company has been pursuing a path of research and innovation, involving prestigious designers and architects in the study of new furnishings models. In the last few years the collaboration with Gio Ponti has begun. Thanks to this partnership were born the 646 chair, known as Leggera, and the subsequent model 699 or Superleggera.Read more

Formafantasma
Formafantasma is a design studio made up of Italians Andrea Trimarchi (1980-) and Simone Farresin (1983-) with offices in Rotterdam and Milan. Fellow students at both the ISIA Design Institute in Florence and the Design Academy in Eindhoven (the city where they still reside), the two founded Formafantasma in 2009 to carry forward an idea of "engaged design", attentive to social and ecological issues that characterize today's landscape. A rigorous and uncompromising path, carried forward above all through shows and performances and culminating in the personal exhibition "Cambi" at the Serpentine Gallery in London, which deals with an analysis of the environmental impact of the production chain of the wood. The same language is used consistently by Formafantasma also for the installations and research carried out for major brands such as Hermès, Bulgari and Prada, a feature that earned them the victory of the prestigious Wallpaper Design Award as Designer of the Year 2021. In the field of product design boast many limited series creations exhibited in important galleries, but more recently they have also begun to collaborate with well-known brands such as Flos, Cassina, Natuzzi Italia, Roll&Hill and others.
