The Treflo table by Cassina, designed by Ronan Bouroullec, explores the natural fluidity of organic forms. The broad, contoured base develops like an asymmetrical solid wood sculpture, its legs opening irregularly, evoking the naturalness of a clover, hence its name. The round top, available in various finishes, interacts with the structure, creating a balance between stability and visual lightness. The connections between the parts are designed to enhance the materiality of the wood and the artisanal craftsmanship. Treflo fits elegantly into both residential and contract spaces, bringing a contemporary and poetic character.

Founded in 1927 by the brothers Cesare and Umberto in the heart of Brianza furniture, Cassina is one of the long-lived Made in Italy industrial design companies. From the early ‘30s, Cassina brothers identified the strong demand for home furnishings and interpreted in a far-sighted way the renewed taste of the new emerging classes. From this intuition, Cassina started a real revolution in the indoor furnishings design. Since then, the company has been pursuing a path of research and innovation, involving prestigious designers and architects in the study of new furnishings models. In the last few years the collaboration with Gio Ponti has begun. Thanks to this partnership were born the 646 chair, known as Leggera, and the subsequent model 699 or Superleggera.Read more
Designed by
Ronan Bouroullec
Ronan Bouroullec (1971-) is one of the most important contemporary French designers. He worked for many years alongside his brother Erwan (1976-), with whom he co-signed highly successful projects for brands such as Vitra, Hay Design, Magis, Ligne Roset, Flos, Mattiazzi, Cassina and Mutina. Born in Quimper, Brittany, Ronan Bouroullec found fame in the mid-1990s, first seeing one of his creations (the Soliflore vase, 1996) selected by the Centre Pompidou for inclusion in its permanent selection and then being launched internationally by Giulio Cappellini in 1997. Soon joined by his brother, with whom he founded a studio in Paris, Bouroullec was the most poetic and sensitive soul of the partnership, with a great attention to artisanal processes and freehand drawing. Starting in 2023, the two brothers also began to pursue individual projects such as the Céramique lamp designed by Ronan for Flos and in 2024 they decided to definitively separate their careers, closing the studio they had run together for almost thirty years. He is married to Inga Sempé, also an established designer.Read more
