Fontana Arte
Frenesi Wall Light
Price € 2,100.00
Frenesi is a wall lamp by FontanaArte. The concept was developed by StudiolucaGuadagnino and draws inspiration from the protagonist of Vineland, a novel by American writer Thomas Pynchon. Visually, Frenesi seems to emerge from the very idea of a wave softly gliding forward, shaping the surface of the lamp’s structure itself. Its clean and formal design makes it incredibly elegant and suitable for various settings where a distinctive yet unobtrusive element is desired. The light of Frenesi is soft and diffused within the angular structure that extends horizontally, becoming a true architectural extension of the wall.

One of the most influential representatives of the made in Italy lighting design, FontanaArte has its roots in the nineteenth century with the foundation of a glass factory in Milan by the entrepreneur Luigi Fontana. The real brand was born from the meeting between the latter and Giò Ponti, the first artistic director, leaving an indelible mark on the style of the company, so much that his creations still play a central role in the FontanaArte catalog. Glass and crystal gave the brand an immediate international success since the early years, thanks also to the collaboration with the master glassmaker Pietro Chiesa.Read more
Designed by
Studio Luca Guadagnino
Luca Guadagnino (1971-) is one of the most important contemporary Italian directors, nominated for an Oscar in 2017 for his film “Call Me by Your Name”, a great narrator of stories of passion and desire. More recent and less known to the general public is his second occupation, that of interior designer: a story that began almost by chance, when Federico Marchetti – a great digital entrepreneur, founder of the e-commerce Yoox – asked him to furnish the interiors of his villa on Lake Como, fascinated by his peculiar aesthetic vision even though Guadagnino had no previous experience in design. For this first project, Guadagnino availed himself of the collaboration of his friend Giulio Ghirardi, an important interior photographer and architect by training, later joined by other young professionals. Once the villa was completed in 2018, the partnership grew and remained active, taking on other projects for Federico Marchetti and also taking on projects in the retail sector such as the stores of the soap brand Aesop in Rome and London. Studio Luca Guadagnino (SLG) grows to include 12 associated professionals, including Stefano Baisi who, together with Guadagnino, curates one of the most appreciated installations of the Fuorisalone 2023, entitled “Accanto al Fuoco/By the Fire”. Warm and retro atmospheres with an impeccable style are among the trademarks of the studio, which in the same year also has the opportunity to give life to its first creation in the field of product design with Fontana Arte.Read more
