Re & Regina are a collection of lamps by FontanaArte inspired by the world of chess—and in particular by the two most iconic pieces on the board, the King and the Queen. The aesthetic of these two table lamps is a deliberate homage to the original pieces, reinterpreted with ideal proportions to be placed on bedside tables, desks, or any type of surface. The profiles of the two models differ from each other just as the originals do, expressing distinct shapes that make them fascinating both as individual lamps and as a paired composition, creating an even more evocative effect. Re & Regina are available exclusively in white, representing a single, unified lamp concept whose light spreads gently through the surrounding space, illuminating the evenings of all passionate players.

One of the most influential representatives of the made in Italy lighting design, FontanaArte has its roots in the nineteenth century with the foundation of a glass factory in Milan by the entrepreneur Luigi Fontana. The real brand was born from the meeting between the latter and Giò Ponti, the first artistic director, leaving an indelible mark on the style of the company, so much that his creations still play a central role in the FontanaArte catalog.
