A challenge to any form of classicism, Evolis is a sofa designed by Martina and Massimo Castagna. Together, the two designers have created a furnishing piece that is both new and utterly unexpected — one that boldly reduces the fundamental geometries of upholstered furniture to their purest essence. Evolis features an internal structure in metal, wood, and composite materials, padded with indeformable polyurethane foam of varying densities. Its minimal floor support is designed to disappear beneath the generous, sculptural volumes above, which can be upholstered in leather or fabric available in a wide range of colors. As a whole, Evolis embodies a perfect expression of modernity and elegance.
