Living Divani
Ad-Astra Floor Lamp
The Ad-astra collection by Living Divani includes numerous proposals for indoor lighting—especially floor and pendant lamps—whose distinctive hallmark is lightness and a strong poetic sensibility. Ad-astra combines an airy, almost weightless structure with a single focal point represented by a bulb that serves as the light source. Its interpretation can be manifold, ranging from a celestial trajectory breaking into a sphere to a metaphysical depiction of a rocket encountering a planet, and so on. Overall, these are minimalist-designed lamps whose elegance lies not only in the purity of their concept, but also in the care taken to define every single element. Ideal for bedrooms and dining rooms, they are also perfectly suited to public spaces where a discreet yet highly functional object is desired.

The measured elegance of Living Divani’s furniture comes from the simple and harmonic shapes which avoid finery but not decorations. The latter is, indeed, to be looked for in the wise workmanship of the handcrafted details and in the careful choice of colors for fabrics and leathers, which give further value to the Living sofas. The sober and rigorous mark and the use of squared volumes are typical of the style of Piero Lissoni, art director of the brand since the beginning of his career. All the company’s collections were born under his attent supervision: living rooms, beds, armchairs, coffee tables, rugs, furnishings and outdoor furniture.Read more
Designed by
Marco Lavit
Marco Lavit (1986-) is an Italian architect and designer based in Paris, recognizable for the refined minimalism of his creations. In his architecture and interior design projects he prefers the use of natural materials such as wood, often interpreted in thin strips that give an oriental and ecological look to the environments he designs. Particularly interesting is his research on prefabricated structures, also developed in projects such as the eco-lodge Origin, a real tree house that is perfectly habitable. Having settled in France to study at the École Spéciale d’Architecture (ESA) in Paris, Lavit completed his apprenticeship at Riccardo Blumer’s studio and founded his own studio atelier LAVIT in 2014. The project that launched his international career dates back to the same year: the Venezia armchair, with extreme formal purity in its lines slowly inspired by gondolas, conceived for the Architecture Biennale and now produced exclusively by the Nilufar gallery in Milan. In addition to the numerous limited editions designed for Nilufar, Marco Lavit can boast an intense collaboration with the Living Divani brand for which he created creations such as the iconic Lemni armchair. He has also collaborated with brands such as MDF Italia, Carpet Edition, Ethimo, Lelievre and many others.Read more
