Leplì is an upholstered chair with a sophisticated yet playful feel. Its design suggests meticulous attention to detail and a certain originality that enhances its approach to contemporary design. The frame is made of birch and poplar plywood, with kraft cardboard infill. The backrest frame is made of Polimex and poplar plywood. These details, combined with Poltrona Frau's research, make the Leplì chair particularly suitable for home settings, around a dining table where one wishes to create a new and original compositional element.

Poltrona Frau brings in any kind of environment, from home to office, its characteristic taste for leather-covered furnishings. The company grew out from the intuition of Renzo Frau who, moving in Torino, founded his workshop in the late 19th and 20th centuries. The Piedmont city was the ideal stage for the proposals of the young entrepreneur.
From the beginning, Poltrona Frau furnishings attract the attentions of the bourgeoisie and the Savoy Aristocracy, strongly fascinated by the international taste. The company’s collections embodied the timeless beauty of the Made in Italy design, despite a remarkable stylistic inflection in the Edoardian taste. Kensaku Oshiro (1977-) is a Japanese designer active in Milan, where he crowned his studies with a master's in Industrial Design at the Politecnico. He dedicated the first years of his career, starting from 2004, to the collaboration with one of the most important figures in the world of contemporary design: Piero Lissoni. He ends his long experience at Lissoni Associati, in 2012 he moves to London where he has the opportunity to deal with an international context working for another top-class design studio, BarberOsgerby, to then return to Milan in 2015. Now mature, he decides to go on your own, winning the interest of prestigious brands such as Poltrona Frau, Gandia Blasco, De Padova, Kristalia, Arrmet, Mogg, Ligne Roset and many others with its measured and welcoming creations.Read more
