Tom Dixon is one of the most important living British designers and his namesake brand offers all the best of his production, from furniture to lamps, through a wide selection of accessories. Dense with post-industrial suggestions, its unmistakable style transforms every object into a real sculpture, enriched by a clever use of innovative materials and finishes. In the Tom Dixon production, a bold design mixes with traditional production techniques revisited in a creative way, leading to the creation of unique products with a strong personality. The Tom Dixon catalog is organized around three large poles: a collection of furniture, centered in particular on tables, chairs and armchairs, one dedicated to lighting and another related to the objects.Read more

Tom Dixon (1959-) is one of the most famous and appreciated contemporary British designers. Born in Tunisia and moved to the UK at an early age, he did a variety of jobs in his youth, from nightclub promoter to bassist in a punk band. Passionate about motorcycles, he learned the techniques of welding in order to carry out the repairs himself, and from there he became interested in Ron Arad's design experiments with metal, which brought him closer to the London underground art and design circles. Like Arad, his first works centered around the use of metallic materials and were based on a post-industrial and recycled aesthetic. At the beginning of the 90s he was noticed by Giulio Cappellini, who gave him the opportunity to compete with series production and make himself known by the great international audience. Since 1998 he has been called to the management of Habitat, the largest English furniture chain, and promotes a radical renewal of the brand's image. Starting from 2002 he decided to go on his own to be able to convey his aesthetics without compromise, founding and leading to success a brand that bears his name - Tom Dixon Ltd. - mainly dedicated to the production of lamps and objects.Read more
