The Abaco table by B&B Italia was created alongside the matching Abaco armchair, forming a duo designed to enhance the convivial dimension of design. Designed by Ronan Bouroullec, it features a restrained, linear aesthetic dominated by architectural elements that convey a strong sense of stability within the space. Abaco plays with the combination of different materials, taking on a distinct character depending on the finishes selected for its various components. The tabletop is available in veneered wood particleboard or smoked tempered glass, with coordinated solid wood legs, painted wood legs in a range of glossy colours, or light grey concrete.

B&B Italia's strongest ability is to combine creative ideas with design skills, which over the years have led the company to win four Golden Compasses. B&B Italia’s fulcrum is the Research and Development Centre (CR&S), a research laboratory dedicated to the study of the most innovative materials and the industrialization of production processes. The purpose of CR&S is to give life to the most groundbreaking projects of some of the major international designers.
Founded in the late 60's by Piero Ambrogio Busnelli and Cesare Cassina with the name of C&B Italia, the company has disrupted the furnishing industry's rules with a revolutionary industry vision. Ronan Bouroullec
Ronan Bouroullec (1971-) is one of the most important contemporary French designers. He worked for many years alongside his brother Erwan (1976-), with whom he co-signed highly successful projects for brands such as Vitra, Hay Design, Magis, Ligne Roset, Flos, Mattiazzi, Cassina and Mutina. Born in Quimper, Brittany, Ronan Bouroullec found fame in the mid-1990s, first seeing one of his creations (the Soliflore vase, 1996) selected by the Centre Pompidou for inclusion in its permanent selection and then being launched internationally by Giulio Cappellini in 1997. Soon joined by his brother, with whom he founded a studio in Paris, Bouroullec was the most poetic and sensitive soul of the partnership, with a great attention to artisanal processes and freehand drawing. Starting in 2023, the two brothers also began to pursue individual projects such as the Céramique lamp designed by Ronan for Flos and in 2024 they decided to definitively separate their careers, closing the studio they had run together for almost thirty years. He is married to Inga Sempé, also an established designer.Read more
