Cassina
Founded in 1927 by the brothers Cesare and Umberto in the heart of Brianza furniture, Cassina is one of the long-lived Made in Italy industrial design companies. From the early ‘30s, Cassina brothers identified the strong demand for home furnishings and interpreted in a far-sighted way the renewed taste of the new emerging classes. From this intuition, Cassina started a real revolution in the indoor furnishings design. Since then, the company has been pursuing a path of research and innovation, involving prestigious designers and architects in the study of new furnishings models. In the last few years the collaboration with Gio Ponti has begun. Thanks to this partnership were born the 646 chair, known as Leggera, and the subsequent model 699 or Superleggera.Read more

Ron Gilad

Ron Gilad
Ron Gilad (1972-) is one of the most famous and appreciated contemporary Israeli designers. His creations are imbued with an almost metaphysical value, which transcends the simple shape of the object, reaching almost dreamlike shapes, yet always rich in innate elegance. An uncompromising artist's vision, in which, however, abstraction manages to combine with the daily functionality of his creations. Born in Tel Aviv, in 2001 he emigrated to New York and there he devoted himself above all to the creation of unique or limited series pieces, some of which are included in the permanent collections of the main museums of the city such as MoMA. His return to Europe, where he divides his time between Milan and Tel Aviv, was immediately crowned with great success: in 2013 he was elected "designer of the year" by two of the most important magazines in the sector, Elle Decor and Wallpaper. In the same period he began an important collaboration with Molteni & C., for which he designed several best-sellers over the years and also the spectacular "Glass Cube" pavilion attached to the company headquarters. His other important partnerships also include those with Flos, Danese Milano, Moooi, Cassina, Adele-C, Glas Italia, Salvatori and Magis.Read more
