The Ducale bookcase by Cimento was created through the collaboration between the company and designer Elisa Ossino. It is a strongly sculptural and architectural furnishing piece that combines geometric rigor with mathematical elegance. Ducale’s structure evokes the idea of a continuous grid, weaving intersecting elements together in an alternating rhythm that gives rise to fluid symmetries, potentially repeatable ad infinitum. The thickness of the structure is uniform throughout, a deliberate choice intended to enhance the harmony of the piece as a whole, creating a true “display case” effect, with equally sized compartments functioning as frames for books and everyday objects. The preferred finish for this piece is sandblasted cement, which creates a rough and richly textured surface.

Over time, Cimento® has specialized in the production of flexible, low-thickness panels, ideal for cladding flat and curved surfaces, as well as façades and decorative tiles. A key element is the use of Cimento®, a cement-based compound obtained from a blend of mineral aggregates and binders, designed to combine material richness and lightness in an unprecedented balance. Elisa Ossino, born in Sicily and educated in Milan, is today one of the trendiest Italian designers. Active since 2006, the year her studio was founded, she expresses herself through a minimalist poetics in which the abstract geometries of objects and spaces are enhanced by sober monochromes and come to take on a dense metaphysical value. Also highly appreciated as a stylist, she achieved notoriety thanks to her collaboration with the Salvatori brand, specialized in marble processing, for which she takes care of the fittings of the monobrand showrooms all over the world as well as signing numerous products. Another brand with which you can boast a fruitful and long-lasting collaboration is De Padova, with which you have created various furniture collections. You have also created products for brands such as Amini, Porro, Living Divani, Viccarbe, Boffi, Paola C. and many others.
