The original design of the Medallion Chair dates back to 1952 and was created by the designer Slagelse Møbelværk. Its shapes and overall concept reflect the hallmarks of traditional Scandinavian design, characterized by simple lines and bold, clean form combinations. The new edition of the Medallion, introduced by Dagmar, was designed by the duo Nils Koppe and Eva Koppe, who preserved many of its original features while reinterpreting its aesthetic to create a more contemporary collection suited to modern needs. The structure of the Medallion stands out for its finely sculpted armrests and the pronounced curves of its backrest. Enveloping and distinctive, this chair fits naturally into a variety of interiors, including private studies and convivial living spaces where an elegant touch of style is desired.

Dagmar was founded in 2014 as a company specializing in the production of Scandinavian furniture with a modern and contemporary style. The stylistic approach follows the taste of the twentieth century, while the products it draws inspiration from reproduce creations from the 1930s and 1970s, characterized by typically minimal lines and a refined artisanal balance in which wood becomes the absolute protagonist. Careful design research carried out on more recent creations allows Dagmar’s collection to align perfectly with contemporary tastes, offering elements suited to various home environments where one wishes to create welcoming and sophisticated atmospheres, defined by pure essence.Read more
