Emmemobili
De-Mode Sideboard
The De-Mode sideboard by Emmemobili is a manifesto of elegance and formal research, an expression of the company's artisanal expertise in working with wood as a living and flexible material. Its surfaces are distinguished by geometric patterns and refined inlay work, transforming the volume into a visually striking architectural statement. The solid and rigorous structure is softened by tailored details and fine finishes, designed to enhance the natural beauty of the wood and its texture. De-Mode is more than just a functional container, but a truly sculptural piece, capable of interacting with both contemporary and classic spaces. It is the synthesis of innovative design and manufacturing tradition, combining aesthetic research with practicality, embodying the essence of Emmemobili.

Undisputed masters of woodworking, Emmemobili's artisans are able to express at best the infinite creative possibilities made available by this material. Their strength comes from knowing how to combine complex artisan techniques handed down from generation to generation with the creativity of many famous designers. Skilled artisans using only the highest quality woods, with a special experience in curvature, make the entire production of Emmemobili. This is combined with a modern environmental awareness, which has led the company to adopt eco-sustainable procedures in every phase of the work.Read more
Designed by
Uto Balmoral
Uto Balmoral is a curious example of a “virtual designer”: he is in fact a character created by a young Italian architect and designer (born in 1975) to present his products, partly in protest against the excessive protagonism of designer-characters compared to the concreteness of their work and partly to exploit the aura of mystery generated within his character as a marketing vehicle. Uto Balmoral made his debut at the 2011 Fuorisalone with an exhibition at the DAAL Gallery presenting a series of self-produced tables and lamps. The great success of this operation allowed him to launch into a career as a real designer through collaborations with brands such as Mogg, Tonelli, Emmemobili and Durame. His creations often hinge on a solid formal rigor derived from his experience as an architect, often based on clever plays on square geometries, but capable of sometimes giving way to a more cheerfully pop taste as in his fruitful collaboration with Seletti.Read more
