An example of linearity and formal simplicity, the Cini Boeri sofa designed by the artist of the same name was born from the attention paid to the proportions not only of the house, but of the furnishings that populate it. The base structure, simple and linear, is supported by a steel axis to which it’s possible to add optional wheels to facilitate the handling. Available in different finishes and colors, Cini Boeri represents a peculiar piece of furniture, able to characterize any environment with its own minimal elegance. The Cini Boeri collection offers the possibility of purchasing the armchair and the pouf, whose same stylistic imprint makes them perfect to complete the relax area.

Landed in the United States at the beginning of the ‘30s, Hans Knoll, a young German-born son of a furniture-maker in Stuttgart, proposed to import into the new continent the modern European design, contemporary heritage of the Bauhaus. Died prematurely, his work was continued by his wife, Florence Knoll, who succeeded in establishing lasting partnerships with some of the greatest exponents of the modernist movement. Few years later the Knoll Associates was founded. Today, Knoll is not only a company of re-selling historic furnishings of great artistic value, but continues to innovate by offering creations of the major international design brands both in the home area and in the office furnitures sector.Read more

Cini Boeri (1924-2020) was one of the most prominent female figures in the history of Italian design. In the products she conceived and in her interior design projects, the human being always comes first: she was always looking for comfortable solutions for human needs, advocating a more informal lifestyle that favoured comfort and functionality. Her collaboration with Arflex was particularly fruitful and lasting, which also led her to victory in the Compasso d'Oro in 1979, but she had the opportunity to work with many of the most important Italian brands of her time: Fiam, Knoll, Poltrona Frau, Artemide, Fusital, Venini, Rosenthal and many others. He had three children, all destined for great success: Stefano, a famous architect author of projects such as Bosco Verticale in Milan, Tito, an important economist, who reached the top of institutions such as INPS, and Sandro, an appreciated journalist in the field of scientific divulgation.Read more
