The Midday sideboard by Molteni&C is the result of the design expertise of the renowned GamFratesi studio and is distinguished by its essential, geometric and precisely defined silhouette. The sideboard conveys an elegance inspired by traditional rural furniture, reinterpreted through an entirely new and contemporary perspective to suit the tastes and aesthetics of our time. Its structure is essentially composed of a single monolithic central volume, raised from the floor and supported by solid, clearly defined legs. Molteni&C offers the sideboard in different sizes, allowing it to adapt to the furnishing requirements of spaces with varying dimensions. Among its many configurations, Midday can be presented either as a fully enclosed unit or with an open compartment.

Collaborations with renowned international designers and technological innovation made Molteni&C. a benchmark for the whole furnishings industry. The history of the company began in 1934 when in Giussano the "Arredamenti Angelo Molteni" was founded, a small artisan workshop specialized in the production of furniture.
In the ‘40s, the company became one of the national furniture production leaders, with an exponential growth that brought the company to hire more than 60 employees, recruited among the best artisan workers.Read more

GamFratesi studio, founded in Copenhagen in 2006, is one of the brightest names in the firmament of contemporary Danish design. It can count on the heritage of two of the greatest national traditions in the history of design: it is in fact made up of the Danish Stine Gam (1975-) and the Italian Enrico Fratesi (1978-). A successful melting pot that has released great creative energies, combining the typical Danish attention to craftsmanship and the importance of a simple and authentic design with the Italian drive for conceptual research and the pursuit of elegance. The duo went through years of profound renewal of the Danish design scene as protagonists, once again the protagonist of the world scene thanks also to their creations. In fact, they led a brand like Gubi to international success through the creation of products already considered “contemporary classics” such as the Beetle chair, as well as working for historic brands such as Fritz Hansen, Fredericia, Louis Poulsen and Hay. In more recent years they have also enjoyed great success with the most famous Italian companies, appearing as protagonists in the catalogs of giants such as Minotti and Poltrona Frau. They have also collaborated with De Padova, Dedon, Gebruder Thonet Vienna, FontanaArte, Porro, Dedon and many other top-tier brands.Read more
