Enrico Franzolini
Enrico Franzolini (1952–) is a prolific Italian designer and architect. Born in Udine, he is an expression of the great industrial and design vitality of the Friulian district, capable of bringing to market a wide range of functional and appealing products without sacrificing rigorous design thinking. Franzolini studied in Florence and Venice, where he graduated in 1979. In his early years he was also active as a painter, even exhibiting at the 1972 Biennale, before focusing on architecture and interior design. Between the 1980s and 1990s, his studio was responsible for significant architectural projects in both the residential and industrial fields, including Calligaris’s office building in Manzano, Potocco’s headquarters, and the Antivari office tower and shopping center in Udine. As a product designer, he has worked successfully for numerous brands, including Moroso, Foscarini, Pedrali, De Padova, Crassevig, Pallucco, Potocco, Roche Bobois, and many others. Read more
