Como Lake Hotel

Hotel Mimesis is located just meters from the picturesque Lake Como, a tourist destination known for its breathtaking views. The interior design project encompassed all of the hotel’s rooms, including bathrooms and walk-in closets.

The interior design studio paid particular attention to the headboard of each room, designed and created in collaboration with Studio Ruscio. This feature, positioned behind the bed, alternates wood, fabric, and mirror inserts to create a colorful backdrop that defines the style of each room.

Numerous mirrors have been placed above the headboard to provide a reflective element; further down, wooden elements alternate with soft, padded fabric coverings for comfort, softening the structure.

The fabric color scheme differs on each floor. Thus, the space is immersed in shades of green on the ground floor, yellow on the first floor, and blue on the second.

Consistent with this initial color palette is the variety of shades in the bathrooms, where ceramic tiles and terracotta surfaces have been meticulously orchestrated to achieve visual coherence. The only common feature is the tiled floor, whose pattern recalls the stone motif typical of the Como area.

Overall, each room has its own unique sensory atmosphere, offering guests a coherent experience not only aesthetically but also perceptually.

The Erba wardrobes, whose essence echoes the theme of the bed headboards, are the crowning jewel of Salvioni Design Solutions’s stylistic study. Each bedroom features open-plan walk-in closets, with internal, diffused-effect lighting to create a sense of spaciousness.

The boutique hotel Mimesis also features a reception area and an outdoor veranda for breakfast. Here, too, Studio Ruscio’s design reflects a coherent and minimalist aesthetic, favoring high-end furnishings with a contemporary feel.

Mimesis Hotel is a successful example of contract design applied to an exclusive setting, where attention was focused on aesthetic details to create harmony and a sense of familiarity. Upon entering the rooms, you’re immediately struck by a calm and intimate atmosphere, further enhanced by the evocative views offered by Lake Como, an exceptional location rich in history and beauty.
