Rousseau Penthouse
Located on the thirteenth and top floor of the iconic residences designed by Daniel Libeskind, Rousseau Penthouse is a perfect expression of architectural elegance and residential comfort. The space was designed in collaboration with Studio Rousseau, which oversaw the interiors in their entirety. Salvioni Design Solutions, in turn, took care of the furnishings, selecting numerous design pieces that have been placed throughout the various rooms.
The apartment is laid out over two levels dedicated to the living and sleeping areas, interconnected through aesthetic choices conceived to create a sense of continuity in materials, finishes, and furniture selections. The chosen tones are deliberately neutral and pastel, enriched with accents of gold and refined materials such as marble, glass, and stone.
Upon entering, the visitor is welcomed by a sumptuous living area defined by a large Minotti sofa and Meridiani coffee tables. Lighting is provided by Raimond II pendant lamps by Moooi, whose striking structure nonetheless ensures a subtle, understated diffusion of light.
Double-height glass walls lend brightness to the space, offering a breathtaking view of the Milan skyline and the green areas of City Life.
The dining area features a Gervasoni pendant lamp and a large dining table surrounded by Calligaris chairs. The adjacent kitchenette has been separated from the other spaces by a modern glass partition. The choice of fine marble for the countertop and profiles blends seamlessly with the style of the other rooms, creating a sense of coherence and cohesion.
The space is completed by a large terrace with a relaxation area and a convivial outdoor space designed for lunches and dinners. Inside, there are also bathrooms and a couple of sleeping areas mainly reserved for friends and guests.
The upper floor is accessible via a modern staircase featuring numerous glass design elements. This second level is intended for a more intimate and private use, as it houses the master bedroom with an en-suite bathroom. A distinctive feature of the bedroom is the presence of a Rugiano double bed, complemented by a custom-upholstered wall with geometric patterns that visually expands the space and lends it a refined elegance.
A second outdoor area overlooking City Life offers the opportunity to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the metropolis below.
Finally, a distinctive feature of the apartment is a fully independent multifunctional area which, located on the upper level of the penthouse and overlooking the double-height living room, represents an ideal space for reading, conversation, or private study.
