The brand is divided into three main branches: Moooi Light is dedicated to lamps and lighting. It offers eclectic and unexpected products, such as Raimond pendant lamp by Raimond Puts, a perfect sphere designed according to precise mathematical criteria, the Dear Ingo lamp by Ron Gilad, affectionate tribute to Ingo Maurer or the Lamp Horse lamp by the swedish Front, which faithfully reproduces a horse of real sizes.
Moooi Carpets instead exploits the progress of high definition printing to propose carpets of strong artistic value, decorated with psychedelic and evocative images. The Moooi furniture, finally, carry the same creative approach in all other areas of the house, offering products such as the V.I.P. by Wanders and the Maarten Baas Smoke Chair, which reproduces the effect of burnt wood, or unusual sofas like the Charleston model, a very comfortable chester sofa vertically positioned.
Moooi was founded in 2001 by Casper Vissers and Marcel Wanders and takes its name from the Dutch word “mooi”, which means “beautiful”. In a short time, Hans Lensvelt joined the two. He was the founder of the homonymous brand of office furniture, and gave a strong impulse to the international growth of the brand, also favored by the temporary entry into the shareholding structure of the Italian design giant B&B Italia. Since its foundation, Moooi continues to innovate, surprising the public with new ideas.
