Designer’s Week 2021 | The new catalog novelties

The Milan Designer’s Week brought a breath of fresh air in the panorama of Italian and international design. New releases and collections once again express the desire to improve and experience the possibilities of craftsmanship, technology and creativity in the context of excellent furnishing.

Small and large companies in the sector have distinguished themselves in enriching the catalog proposals.

Here we mention B&B Italia and the Noonu sofa, the brand new upholstery system signed by Antonio Citterio whose large seats and generous shapes make it the perfect protagonist of living spaces of great expression.

Also in the upholstery we find the Soriana sofa by Cassina, a reissue of the iconic model by Afra & Tobia Scarpa, awarded with the Compasso d’Oro in 1970 and revisited today from the company’s archives in a modern and revisited perspective. The softness of the seats and backrests fits perfectly into relaxing furnishing contexts where comfort comes first.

A highly suggestive setting by Elena Salmistraro celebrates the many novelties of the Cappellini brand. Here we mention the new Litos sofa, the result of the design by Sebastian Herkner with low backrests and irregular rounded volumes inspired by the trend of the Salento cliff.

Poltrona Frau, on the other hand, enriches its catalog with various proposals including the Mi sideboard, an elegant play of full and empty volumes combined with a careful search for new materials and shapes. The design by Neri & Hu creates a suggestion of high-impact essences.

Gallotti&Radice also expands the proposals of the living space. Among the many new creations we point out the Hide & Seek bookcase born from the precious intertwining of shelves and containers of great dynamism. The resulting effect embellishes the company’s idea of total living, increasingly affirming the aspiration to create multifaceted furnishings, able to fit into any room of the house.

But the news does not end here.

For the luminous furniture, Flos proposes WireLine by Formafantasma and Bellhop Floor by Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby, as well as numerous other additions to the catalog.

A new series of chairs, the KN06 and KN07 by Piero Lissoni, enriches the living space of Knoll, the latest additions to the KN series which clearly show the distinctly modernist taste of the company.

Lema’s night space expands thanks to the collaboration with Gabriele and Oscar Buratti who introduces the Ortis desk and bedside tables, the My Night bed and the Florens night unit.

Other proposals of equal value have revived the collections of many other brands in the Made in Italy furniture scene and beyond. Come and visit us in our showrooms to find out which ones best suit your taste and style.
