Poltrona Frau – The novelties of Salone del Mobile 2019
The Salone del Mobile 2019 brought for Poltrona Frau a series of novelties and new proposals. The most important products presented are:
2019 – From 1919 to 2019: A century after its creation, the historical model returns, re-edited in collaboration with Roberto Lazzeroni, who interprets the original spirit without alteration. The new poltrona 2019 keeps its proportions, shape, thickness and quality intact, but inside Poltrona Frau completely revolutionizes its structure, making room for new materials and artisan finesse whose mingling can only improve the already consolidated quality.
Archibal dining chair – Starting from the iconic Archibald, Jean-Marie Massaud succeeds in the difficult task of creating another small masterpiece, a dining chair of impeccable elegance. This last addition to the Archibald line, which ten years ago was presented as an updated version of the classic English cockpit armchair, maintains all the comfort of the famous collection, with a smarter and more casual allure that makes it particularly eclectic, ideal for contemporary environments or, in contrast, in more classic contexts.
Bolero Ravel – Roberto Lazzeroni designs the Bolero Ravel table. The marble top obtained from a single slab with a barrel shape, the tapered edges and the three-post base give a physiognomy of absolute novelty and elegance. This piece of design incorporates slender and suspended forms, which despite the use of “important” materials, succeeds in the difficult task of deceiving the eye and literally floating in space.
Clayton – The Clayton collection was born with the homonymous sofa, symbol of formal research and sartorial mastery. In this product line we can now include the novelties of 2019 consisting of the Clayton swivel chair and the Clayton bench, entirely upholstered in Pelle Frau® leather or in combination with the wide range of Poltrona Frau fabrics.
Coupé – For Poltrona Frau, the GamFratesi studio designs Coupé, a bed whose name is a tribute to the classic and muffled elegance of large sports cars. It presents clear and defined aerodynamic lines, hand-coated stitching and the soft Pelle Frau® leather which circumscribes a two-level intimate and comfortable space.
Among the other great innovations of 2019, Poltrona Frau includes the Fidelio Consolle and the Martha armchair by Roberto Lazzeroni, the Get Back sofa by Ludovica and Roberto Palomba, the Zhuang containers by Neri & Hu, the Grant pouf collection by Tristan Auer, the Billie and Dizzy rugs by Max Huber and the Soffi lamps by Gamfratesi
