A one-of-a-kind modular system, capable of giving elegance and beauty but also a certain dose of playfulness to the seats designed by B-Line. Multichair is made up of two distinct elements that can transform the entire seat into a chair or armchair depending on the need. The cushions have an internal steel structure and are padded with polyurethane foam. The elasticized fabric of the covering is glued to better resist the wear and tear of time and supported by straps, pins and bushings to guarantee perfect performance for a long time. A wide range of colors contributes to giving this furnishing element a unique and perfectly distinguishable personality.

B-Line was born from Giorgio Bordin's desire to create a brand specialized in giving life to icons of Italian design furniture. Specifically, the work of this company focuses on objects that have been lost over the years, disappeared due to the continuous emergence of industry news and therefore destined for oblivion. In some cases they are iconic products, lost not because of little value, but because of the simple progression of history and trends. Since 1999, the year of its foundation, B-Line has been involved in famous works such as the Boby trolley by Joe Colombo, the Boomerang chair by Rodolfo Bonetto, the Helix chair, 4/4 coffee table, Park and Hoop chairs and numerous accessories such as the Fishbone and Fin shelves.Read more

Joe Colombo (1930-1971) went down in history as the "designer of the future". His creations are permeated by an optimistic vision of progress and aim at creating a radically new way of understanding the home environment. The result was a pioneering interest in innovative materials such as plastic, at the time used in the field of furniture only for experimental projects, and a very modern attention to the theme of modularity, often taken to the extreme as in the Visiona 1 installation designed for Bayer. in which every room of the house is rethought in science fiction as a "functional station". Born in Milan, he dedicated his youth to art and painting, joining the Nuclear Art movement. He only became interested in design when he was thirty and had only one decade to devote to the discipline, before his sudden and premature death from cardiac arrest. But that decade was the 1960s, a period of swirling changes, and his creations set the tone for an era: armchairs like the Elda (now re-proposed by Longhi) or the Tube Chair (designed for Flexform and re-edited by Cappellini) in the collections of all the most important design museums around the world, as well as the Minikitchen designed for Boffi, the vast collection of lamps produced by Oluce, and the fruits of its collaborations with brands such as Kartell and Zanotta.
