La Permanente Mobili Cantù
TN55 Coffee Table
The TN55 coffee table brings together diverse cultural influences in a true celebration of modernism and minimalism. It was designed by Japanese designer Taichiro Nakai in 1955 and presented at the first edition of the historic Selettiva del Mobile exhibition in Cantù. On this occasion, it attracted considerable interest thanks to its refined sculptural design, which shapes teak wood into a sinuous and unmistakable boomerang form. Beneath the main tabletop, a smaller secondary shelf provides additional support and can also be used to hold accessories. The structure rests on three tapered wooden legs, enhancing its lightness and highlighting the craftsmanship behind its design.
