The Graffetta armchair by Lema was designed by architect and designer Carlo Colombo. Its distinctive quality lies in transforming an everyday object into a striking piece of domestic micro-architecture with a strong expressive character. The concept behind Graffetta is reflected in its name: the humble office paper clip becomes the inspiration for a design piece that echoes its continuous, fluid, and generous lines. The structure is made of black chrome-plated tubular steel, precisely bent to create an airy and lightweight perimeter that simultaneously serves as the base, armrests, and structural support. Inside this metal framework are soft, generous cushions that make the overall composition more comfortable and inviting.

Some of the most important inventions of the modern modular furniture are owed to this company, such as the introduction of load-bearing systems or cabinets tailored to the customer's needs through a fully industrialized process. The heart of the company is the large factory designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in the '70s, still at the forefront of the industry, where products such as the famous wardrobe program Armadio al centimetro or the Selecta bookcase system are born.Read more
