Antonio Citterio presents the outdoor collection for B&B Italia at Imm Cologne

There are three new outdoor proposals signed by Antonio Citterio for B&B Italia exclusively presented in Cologne on IMM 2017. The challenge of the maison is to thinning the boundaries between interior and exterior design and to move closer, almost combining, outdoor and indoor furnishings.
The main goal is to bring the home design research, innovations in technology and materials, as well as comfort fron the inside to the outside.

The new seating system Ray is ready to dress up for the outside with two sets of sofas and armchairs: Ray Outdoor Natural and Ray Outdoor Fabric.

Natural features a “rope” interlacing inspired by natural abaca, but made in textilene, an innovative material suitable for the outdoor settings. Fabric, on the other hand, presents a “ribbon” interlacing made of polypropylene fibre that is resistant to both UV radiations and atmospheric agents.

Unedited collection is Erica, which consists of armchairs, sofas and chairs with extruded and die-cast aluminium elements, which is woven by high-tenacity polypropylene tapes, specially designed for the outdoor use.
