CityLife Apartment

In the suggestive location of CityLife Milano, a residential and commercial complex in the Portello district of Milan, the architecture and interior design studio Paolo Frello & Partners has created a private apartment. The design study focused on enhancing the lines desired by Zaha Hadid, the architect responsible for the structure of the building, creating spaces of great elegance in strong relationship with the large skyscrapers in front: the Isozaky Tower and the Hadid Tower. The collaboration with Salvion Design Solutions has led to the choice of precious and contemporary furniture, perfect for enhancing the play of spaces in each environment.

Day Area

A passing living room hosts Maxalto armchairs and sofas nearby Baxter Made in Italy coffee tables. The blue and light blue shades characterize this space where large oval mirrors facing the neighboring buildings bring together the inside and the outside in a game of breathless reflections. A custom-made bookcase and Flos floor lamps complete this highly suggestive corner, full of aesthetic and design references.

Not far away is the dining area dominated by the large De Padova table and Porro chairs. The skilful retro touch of the Cassina sideboard collects the eye, expressing attention to contemporary style and great icons of the past, elegantly proposed here also with the Oluce table lamp.

The large Poliform island kitchen with steel top and back softened by walnut doors completes this more convivial space, giving rise to a second, intimate and informal area with Knoll table and Molteni&C chairs.

Night Area

The same palette of colors tending to blue guides the eye towards the spaces reserved for the relax, consisting of a large master bedroom and a small bedroom. Among the precious furnishing choices there are the Molteni & C armchairs, Baxter Made in Italy coffee tables and Vitra chairs. Among the furnishing reserved for the home office space, the Meridiani desk stands out.

The guest bathroom and the terrace complete the project. In the first, the choice of furnishing elements by antoniolupi is a tribute to Hadid’s lines. The second is instead refined by B&B Outdoor tables and Gervasoni armchairs whose palettes refer to indoor shades.
