Courmayeur Apartment

This striking project in Courmayeur has as the main protagonist the bfa_barbara fassoni architects studio, which is responsible for the entire design part as well as the multiple solutions used to conform to the customer’s taste and the structural needs of the spaces. Salvioni Design Solutions contributed by providing the furnishings and offering the design consultancy of its qualified interior designers.

The apartment is located in a small building in the center of Courmayeur annexed to the Le Massif hotel and has a beautiful view of the mountains as well as a very bright system of windows and openings that helps to illuminate the interior space which is not particularly large but well organized.

Living Area

The living area is configured as an open-air space complete with kitchen, dining and living room. Warm wood paneling on the walls and parquet create a particularly welcoming and typical mountain atmosphere, giving the feeling of being inside a real chalet. A large Flou sofa bed welcomes the visitor, offering a comfortable relaxation corner embellished with a Porro composition complete with a steel-colored iron sheet boiserie.

Two Minotti coffee tables and a pony skin rug complete the whole. Inspired by the Shou Sugi Ban technique, the large Tense MDF table in charred oak complete with Vitra chairs in parchment fiberglass and Moooi chandelier, creates the right atmosphere for a convivial area.

The Arclinea kitchen is interesting, equipped with recessed doors specifically designed to make the kitchenette “appear and disappear” according to the time of day or needs. Closed, it looks like a simple graphite wall, but once opened it reveals a high-performance black dekton top complete with induction hobs, dishwasher, oven and sink. The wall units are in oak, designed to recall the style and warmth of the apartment.

Night Area

From the living space it is possible to access a small balcony with a splendid view of the mountains in which two Vitra armchairs have been placed complete with cushions and small plaids to protect themselves from the cold.

For the sleeping area, Salvioni was exclusively dedicated to supplying the beds, while the bfa_barbara fassoni architects studio was particularly involved in the artisanal creation of night containers, compositions and boiserie.

Master bedroom and guest bedroom have been enriched with Molteni&C beds characterized by particularly high mattresses and diversified coverings. On the terrace that connects the rooms, two Orgone armchairs by Marc Newson have been placed with an organic shape, particularly elegant and harmonious.
