The “White Canvas” furnishing project takes shape within the broader collaboration with the influencer Paolo Stella and the Istituto Europeo di Design, aimed at tracing an unexplored path in the field of design communication.
Among its many dimensions, the furnishing project created by Salvioni Design Solutions for Paolo Stella’s home has great importance, a setup that aims to show the creative potential of the furnishing elements temporarily made available by the brands that took part in the initiative: Baxter, Gallotti&Radice and Moroso for the furniture; Oluce for the lighting; Roberto Molteni for the fabrics and curtains; WallPepper/group for the wallpapers.
Thanks to the numerous elements provided, Salvioni was able to set up three different rooms of the house, giving each a characteristic touch and its own personal voice that speaks strictly “in white”, or in the tone chosen to represent this project.
In the living room, the Chester Moon sofa by Baxter and Belt by Moroso stand out, surrounded by the Nepal Mama armchair by Baxter and the Audrey pouf by Gallotti&Radice. The Haumea, Cookies and Fante coffee tables by Gallotti&Radice were placed in the center, all dominated by the large Libelle bookcase by Baxter, an element that captures the eye and enriches the whole.

In the Lounge space, attention is instead captured by the Audrey sofa by Gallotti&Radice, the Ruff armchair by Moroso and the Artik by Baxter. Precious are the Prism Low and Haumea coffee tables by Gallotti&Radice, in addition to the Istanbul poufs by Baxter. A prominent element is the Ninfea bar cabinet by Baxter, a precious free-standing cabinet suitable for hosting various types of alcohol.
The dining area was placed in the bow-window, the only black spot in an ultra-white panorama, with the Zefir chairs by Baxter and Lou pouf by Gallotti&Radice.
Precious is the “home – working” corner created with the Yves desk by Baxter and the 0414 chair by Gallotti&Radice, indispensable for those who find themselves working at home but want to enjoy a certain comfort.
In addition to the furnishings, Salvioni Design Solutions orchestrated the placement of the light sources proposed by Oluce, placing the Sonora suspension lamp in the dining area, the Pascal and Stones lamps in the lounge and the Coupè and Speciale lamps in the living room in strategic points of the apartment.
A final element of suggestion is represented by the fabrics and especially the curtains made available by the Roberto Molteni brand, a specialist in the definition of “soft decoration”. A careful selection of yarns has been placed in each room to highlight and balance the ideas offered by the furnishings. The light obtained, softer and more calibrated, perfectly balances the overall potential, creating an even more studied effect of tone-on-tone shadows and lights.
Overall, this project seems to want to demonstrate how a canvas, even a white one, can be enriched with taste and beauty if expertly orchestrated. The precise choice of using strictly monochromatic furnishings wants to indicate precisely this, an “adding while taking away” and “giving while subtracting”, or rather the true and fascinating power of design that creates without needing – apparently – anything.
