Le vie del Compasso d’Oro – Salvioni meets Acerbis @ Salvioni Milano Durini

Following the success of the 2016 edition, the Vie del Compasso d’Oro returns, curated by ADI Lombardia, where the award-winning products, mentioned or selected for the Compasso d’Oro starting from the first edition of 1954 up to today, are again placed in a series of possible paths between the studios of designers, manufacturers and showrooms in Milan. Among the large selected pieces, at the Salvioni Milano Durini showroom is possible to find the SHERATON credenza, designed by Lodovico Acerbis and Giotto Stoppino in 1977 and awarded by ADI with the Compasso d’Oro in 1979.

The dedicated space celebrates the great masters of Italian design collecting, in addition to the Sheraton credenza, the great pieces and the prestigious brands that have made the history of Made in Italy.

The Sheraton credenza represents an icon of design, out of time and fashions, emerging as a container with unusually wide doors, which can be opened thanks to a “gliding” system, which combines the sliding opening with the hinged one. Sheraton has introduced a new relationship between a closed piece of furniture, extremely simple and formal purity, and an open piece of total usability, even in the presence of sliding and aligned doors.
