Salvioni Milano Durini | Second Floor | Sand Gradation
On the second floor, “Sand Gradation” unfolds through soft, pastel hues enlivened by the choice of furnishings with a more vibrant character, ranging from ochre to red, without overlooking warm shades of brown and gold.
Upon entering, one is immediately welcomed by the imposing Cover wardrobe in eco-leather by Erba, facing a pair of Nuvola Rossa bookcases by Cassina in a dark finish. These two striking elements guide visitors through the corridor toward the Inda bathroom, finished in matte graphite lacquer.
In the nearby sleeping area, tones soften and warm up thanks to the evocative wall lamp by Catellani & Smith, the perfect complement to the Greene Bed by Living Divani. The leather bed frame features a dark finish, in sharp contrast with the Stock ‘n Roll bedside tables by Poltrona Frau placed on either side. Adjacent, the Luxe walk-in wardrobe with fluted glass doors is also by Erba.
To the left, a convivial space has been created, featuring the Sunday sofa by Poliform and the Floria Lounge table by Giorgetti with an Orobico arabesque marble top.
Moving toward the living area, tones diversify into shades of brown, wood, and ochre, echoed in the Infinity bookcase by Flexform and the Let it Be sofa by Poltrona Frau. This first upholstered piece defines an elegant and understated living space, dominated by the Wall System TV unit by Poliform, complemented by two Kasumi armchairs by Living Divani and a Pierre coffee table by Flou.
Another key upholstered element in this area is the Array sofa by MDF Italia, whose soft finish lightens the strong aesthetic presence of the Sheraton sideboard by Acerbis behind it, and above all the wallpaper by Roberto Molteni Soft Decoration, whose dark tones interwoven with geometric patterns create a powerful focal point. Additional elements of great compositional value include the coffee tables by Gallotti&Radice and the Lokum tables by Acerbis in an amber finish—both showcasing exceptional craftsmanship in glassmaking across shapes and colors. The space is completed by the iconic Pastil armchair by Eero Aarnio Originals, a representative piece of Scandinavian design, in a brick-colored finish.
Elegant and evocative, the lighting by Catellani & Smith once again captures attention, drawing the eye toward the Saarinen table by Knoll at the center of the room. The marble-white tabletop is echoed by the two Ptolomeo bookcases by Opinion Ciatti set against the wooden boiserie by Giacobazzi.
Essential elements of these compositions are the rugs by Kristiina Lassus and Carpet Edition, along with numerous other accessories that enrich the space and give it the distinctive personality of a lived-in—or rather, to-be-lived-in—environment, defined by the language of luxury design.
Among the works from the art and design hub 6499 Milano, creations by internationally renowned artists stand out, including Elena Rede, Andrea De Luca, Jacopo Mandich, and Paola Romano.
